C\u2019est une mani\u00e8re de d\u00e9couvrir des m\u0153urs et des modes de pens\u00e9e autres, de voyager dans le temps.<\/p>\n<p>Souvent en Espagne il n&rsquo;y a pas de pierres tombales : les s\u00e9pultures se pr\u00e9sentent sous la forme d&rsquo;un empilement de niches \u00e0 l&rsquo;apparence d&rsquo;un petit immeuble. Devant la paroi qui les obstrue se trouve \u00e0 une courte distance une porte vitr\u00e9e. Entre les deux, dans cet espace r\u00e9duit, sont d\u00e9pos\u00e9s des portraits des d\u00e9funts, des objets de culte, des reliques. Certaines de ces niches sont juste \u00e0 la hauteur des yeux de celui qui passe. Cette sc\u00e9nographie ne pouvait m&rsquo;\u00e9chapper et a eu pour effet de m&rsquo;interpeller par plusieurs aspects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Les images encadr\u00e9es sont celles de personnes, d\u00e9j\u00e0 fig\u00e9es dans leur pose, que la photographie a p\u00e9trifi\u00e9es. Au lieu de rappeler un souvenir vivant du d\u00e9funt, elle donne voix en sorte \u00e0 une parole d&rsquo;outre-tombe.<\/li>\n<li>Malgr\u00e9 cela, la photographie nous fait oublier l&rsquo;\u00e9tat r\u00e9el de l&rsquo;occupant de la tombe. L&rsquo;image serait-elle faite pour occulter\u00a0?<\/li>\n<li>La vitre, pour mettre \u00e0 l&rsquo;abri du toucher, prot\u00e8ge aussi inconsciemment du regard : elle refl\u00e8te la lumi\u00e8re du jour, le d\u00e9cor saisonnier du cimeti\u00e8re, le visage du visiteur et par la m\u00eame brouille la perception, oblige le passant \u00e0 d\u00e9placer son corps pour mieux voir. Pied de nez des morts aux vivants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Passages complexes de la vie \u00e0 la mort, de l&rsquo;image \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Les fronti\u00e8res ordinairement \u00e9videntes sont bouscul\u00e9es : qu&rsquo;est-ce qu&rsquo;\u00eatre mort, qui est le regardeur, qui est le regard\u00e9 ?
