Arriv\u00e9e au camps de Theresienstadt : une grande croix sur le terre-plein, un marchand de souvenirs et de glaces \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e. Puis-je (\u00e9thiquement s’entend) photographier?
\nLes premi\u00e8res pi\u00e8ces me glacent le dos. Je me dois r\u00e9agir, t\u00e9moigner avec mes modestes moyens, \u00e9viter les pi\u00e8ges de l\u2019esth\u00e9tisme et du sentimentalisme. Mais de quelle fa\u00e7on le dire : des choses ont disparu, le temps a mus\u00e9ifi\u00e9 ces vestiges, je n\u2019ai pas v\u00e9cu dans ma propre chair ce que d\u2019autres y ont v\u00e9cu, l\u2019inconcevable ne peut pas \u00eatre figur\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Imm\u00e9diatement et inconsciemment, une vision de pr\u00e8s s\u2019est impos\u00e9e, vision qui, apr\u00e8s-coup, s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00eatre celle d\u2019une absence, d\u2019un au-del\u00e0 spatial et temporel. Le temps de la d\u00e9cantation et la lecture de \u00ab Les naufrag\u00e9s et les rescap\u00e9s \u00bb de Primo Levi ont fait le reste.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Le monde dans lequel on se sentait pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9 \u00e9tait effrayant, mais il \u00e9tait aussi ind\u00e9chiffrable : il n’\u00e9tait conforme \u00e0 aucun mod\u00e8le, l’ennemi \u00e9tait tout autour mais aussi dedans, le \u00ab nous \u00bb perdait ses fronti\u00e8res, les adversaires n’\u00e9taient pas deux, on ne distinguait pas une ligne de s\u00e9paration unique, elles \u00e9taient nombreuses et confuses, innombrables peut-\u00eatre, une entre chacun et chacun.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
